PROGRAM MANAGER (PM)
BASIC INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS

- Qualification: Minimum of first degree (preferably Master’s degree)
- Language: Written and spoken English and Twi at minimum
- Background of Social Science/Sociology/Social Work/Humanities/Human Rights/, development studies, etc
- Experiences in:
- Civil Society Organisations
- Human/Children’s Rights and/or gender issues
- Program development
- Project implementation
- Data management
- Report writing
- Supervision & monitoring
- Advocacy and lobbying
- Project proposal writing & Fund raising
- Qualities:
- Computer skills (excel, word, power point, some graphics is an added advantage)
- Documentation skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Time management skills
- Sense of maturity
- Hard working
- Links with ministries and government departments
- Ability to work with less supervision
- Duties:
- Acts as the head of programmes of the Secretariat.
- Is the principal assistant to the Executive Director and may assume directorship in the absence of the director.
- Coordinates and lead the designing, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the programme and provide guidance to ensure that the results and recommendations are consistent, complementary, and in line with the expected programme objectives as directed by the executive director
- Organizes meetings of the various components to promote research, development, and capacity building activities and child rights advocacy tools for the organisation. He/she shall develop overall programme implementation plan and overall M&E Framework of the plan for the organization on annual basis
- In consultation with the Executive Director, he/she shall develop partnerships with national and regional stakeholders for strategic collaboration to contribute to DCI-Ghana’s objectives in promoting child rights; enable and support partner organisations to practise and facilitate district and national collaboration, partnerships, and networking;
- Ensure that the role and participation of children, especially girls are effectively integrated within programmes undertaken by DCI-Ghana
- Man Hours attached to the position is 100% (Full Time) or 50% (Part-Time)
- Conditions: Salary attached to the position is negotiable based on qualification and experience
- One-year contract renewable
